This has always been one of my favorite quotes, and I just came across it again recently, and I realized that this is the mindset I want to take into my teaching career. Not "What do I need to fix in these students?" but "What can I help these students to achieve?"
I think if I can keep this thought at the forefront, I'll be fine.
